The symptoms of Legionella disease vary widely, from common cold and low fever to high fever, with changes in mental status and respiratory failure; atypical symptoms usually occur early in the disease, including headache, muscle aches, anorexia, fatigue, etc. . Diarrhea and other gastrointestinal symptoms are approximately 20-40% . Among the atypical cases of community-acquired pneumonia, Legionella disease is the most serious clinically, and if not treated properly and in time, it will progressively worsen. Although there are few extrapulmonary symptoms, it can also cause myocarditis, pericarditis and artificial valve endocarditis, as well as glomerulonephritis, pancreatitis and peritonitis.
